Essentials of Population PKPD Modeling & Simulation MI210 provides an extensive overview of essential topics in population pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, including: nonlinear-mixed effects modeling theory and implementation, data formatting requirements, population model development, model evaluation techniques, continuous PK-PD models, Monte Carlo simulation, and best practices. Instruction combines didactic lectures with hands-on exercises using R and the NONMEM® software. Prerequisites: Basic understanding of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles, compartmental pharmacokinetic models, introductory statistics, familiarity with the R or S language. Applicable MI Courses include: MI120, MI101, MI201, or contact instructor. |

Advanced Topics in Population PK-PD Modeling & Simulation MI212 extends the material inititated in MI210 including a detailed overview of advanced topics in population pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics: inter-occasion variability, mixture models, truncated continuous data (BQL), nonlinear-pharmacokinetic models, models for parent & metabolite plasma and urine data, indirect-response pharmacodynamic models, models for tolerance, precursor pools and complex systems, disease progression models, population PK study design, and clinical trial simulation. Instruction combines didactic lectures with hands-on exercises using R and the NONMEM® software. Prerequisites: MI210 and related prerequisites. |

| MI250 | Introduction to Bayesian PK-PD Modeling & Simulation MI250 is an intensive, 3-day onsite course that provides an introduction to Bayesian modeling and the practical use of WinBUGS and R for PK-PD applications. Prerequisites: Experience with PK-PD modeling and some familiarity with nonlinear regression, mixed effects modeling and R (or S-Plus) is requred. Applicable MI courses include: MI 210 and MI212. |

| MI255 | Exposure-Response Modeling of Categorical, Count and Time-to-Event Data Using Bayesian and Maximum Likelihood Methods MI255 provides and introduction to modeling of categorical, count, and time-to-event data, and the practical use of NONMEM® and WinBUGS for such applications. Prequisites: Experience with PK-PD modeling and some familiarity with nonlinear regression, mixed effects modeling and R (or S-Plus) is required. Prior experience with Bayesian modeling using WinBUGS is desirable but not required. The course includes a short introduction to Bayesian principles and WinBUGS.
